Legacy means different things to different people and in reflection, it also means different things from one generation to the next.Read More

In the beginning I have embraced the concept of the undated planner as a whole and tried to appeal to the masses by offering options that were expected or asked for. It started by retiring the myYear and now I am saying goodbye to both the myDay and myStudies. Grab one while you can.Read More
Ever wondered how the myLife planner can work in your life? Sometimes it better to hear it from someone besides myself, because I am biased. It works for me. Listen to Tara and I chat about how she finds the myWeek helps her corral her various lists and notes into one space so she can focus on the work and then shut her office door over the weekend.Read More
Who hasn’t been wooed by the idea of living in a large space? Haven’t we all been conditioned to strive for that ‘corner office’ mentality? I embraced the "bigger is better" mentality of the suburban lifestyle. Who would have even dared to say that there was a downside? The more space you have, the more you fill it with. Period.Read More

I like to have the mindset that each and every day is a fresh start. But there is something about the beginning of a new year and the energy around it gives one extra motivation to start the year with good intentions.
So here we are, starting out 2019 and you may have in your hand gifts provided with love and good intentions, one of which could have been a new calendar. Likely either the version that is as standard as the clock face, so both seem to be a visual measure of where you are in time. But outside of that, it doesn’t inspire action.
I have been a follower of Marie Forleo’s for over a few years. I find her videos and insights to be simple and to the point. Her motto, “Less IS more,” and I have been on that band wagon for the past year. So of course the worksheet download didn’t work right for me, and regardless I have my own style of making lists aligned with the design of myLife Planners that I procrastinated by creating my own worksheet which I am offering to you!Read More
A year ago I was referred to a most wonderful creative couple with self publishing dreams. After a first online video meeting they opened their world to me and invited me on their journey. The first book was The Foldings, followed by Slim Island, a second version of The Foldings, and then Stratosphere, all written by Gordon Kurby (his pseudonym). All of these books were the testing phase for the true baby, his recent book release, Rembrandt’s Comet.Read More
Celebrating Thanksgiving with the rest of Canada I found myself waking up to the rise of the sun and contemplating what being thankful means in my life. Saying thank you is one of the most powerful things you can say in a day. In my early 20's I had a manager who literally said thank you after each thing she asked her staff to do and whenever she interacted with others. Her gracious little act of saying thank you for each little thing has impacted me in so many ways. I 'thank' her for this lesson each day.Read More
Why is the controversy about truth such an issue these days? It used to be assumed that facts determined the truth. Now the dialogue is dismissing facts for 'sound bites.' As a creative specializing in publication design, this topic has been on my mind a lot. I want the work I do to be professional and of value. Outside of fictional stories, publication media should be validated and authentic.
Why do people bother with writing down lists of everything that needs to get done? For procrastinators like me, a list can be seen like an impossible mountain to climb, so why not just avoid it? For others the idea of micromanaging their day makes their skin crawl, they would rather let the day just organically flow. Though two pretty solid reasons, what is missed is that what really matters isn’t getting done. There is no magic fairy godmother watching over you and making things happen that align with your dreams. Sorry, the buck stops with you on that one.Read More
It could be my upbringing that had lack of leader feminine role models (late 70's and early 80's), that makes it so hard to shake that feeling you shouldn’t be talking about yourself. I mean it’s what I was brought up with, between societal norms of the time that was reinforced by the media.
So I am just gonna throw caution to the wind and share in my mind what my strengths are.Read More
