I was given the opportunity to help my favourite dentist give her newly expanded office a fresh look from the outside. It was important to tie in elements from her current logo/brand but impart the professionalism as well as personality of this amazing clinic. I created an expanded sign band that was visually engaging as well as clear and easy to read.

Then the really fun part was creating a window decal graphic that had a double purpose. One to provide privacy to the clinic rooms inside but also to expand the feel of the newly renovated space.

Dr. Pastershank is a lover of nature and lady bugs so I brought in the leaf image from her new carpet from the renovation as well provided her with a lady bug that combined the cuteness that she loves with the clean and professional image of her clinic.

University of Calgary DINOS Recreation and Athletics

For the 2011-12 season I worked with the photographer and marketing department to create a theme for the season. Hunger was the theme. From this main piece the rest of the season promotional marketing pieces are based for consistent branding.

Football season poster. I had the pleasure of working with the photographer, David Moll while taking images of the locker room using a flashlight brush technique. The idea of the poster was to showcase a half-time pose where athletes are in the process of getting ready for a game – looking ‘hungry’ to win.

I have been working with ‘Discovering Antiques’ since 2007. This magazine is published five times a year focusing on the antiquing market in Western Canada. As well as designing and laying out the articles and information I also work with these specialized businesses to create unique advertising to reflect their products and services.

I have been responsible for creating the design theme for each article – selecting and photographing these unique images and backgrounds to bring life to items with such history.

I had the pleasure of working with the Clarke, McLeod and Yawney real estate team. Creating materials that reflected their personalized and professional service was a real treat. While working on the buyer’s guide I kept in mind my own experience to create a resource that I wish I had when we bought and sold our homes.

Wingenback Inc. Corporate Folder

Wingenback Inc.

Working together with Wingenback Inc., a copywriter and myself we worked to compile an information folder that could hold information about the company’s 2 divisions and the multiple departments within each. We created a tri-fold 9 x 12 folder with large pockets to allow for space for copy. Within each pocket are a set of tabs that look complete regardless of the quantity used. This allows for the folder to be customized to their prospect/client with only the information that they need.

A tri-fold brochure was created to mimic the folder design for the corporate information that can be included in the folder as well as be it’s own stand alone piece.

A custom die cut was created for the tab inserts to mimic the corporate logo.

Volleyball National Championships

Working with the Alberta Volleyball Association since 1999 – helping to create professional design for the National 15U/16U Volleyball Championships. This event has been held every year at the Olympic Oval with over 300 teams participating from across Canada. Projects for this event include an event program, sponsorship packages, tickets and passes and event signage.

DINOS 2010-11 Marketing Materials

Working with the University of Calgary DINOS Athletics department in 2010 to create professional and dynamic marketing for their 2010-11 season.

Event poster and schedule card had the theme of ‘Top of the Food Chain’. I was provided images taken by David Moll Photography and then edited and created custom collages of the athletes in a dynamic and exciting way.

The season event program was created to reflect the professional calibre of athletes that the DINOS present.

The design worked to include the professional branding already established by the University of Calgary while at the same time showcasing their individuality and unique experience they have to offer.
